During the game you will find different forms of gold: gold dust, gold flakes, gold nuggets.

Each type has a different value and requires the proper refining process. As you progress through the game, you will unlock better tools and mining techniques.

  • A System of Mines to Discover – In the game you can discover and explore a total of 9 mines: 5 small mines for quick expeditions, 3 medium mines with branching tunnels, 1 large multi-level mine. Each mine has its own unique atmosphere and several to dozens of segments to discover. Working in a mine is dangerous. If you do not place supports correctly, tunnels may collapse. Build reinforcement structures, expand your infrastructure, and explore deeper underground.
  • Upgrade Tools and Equipment – Your tools determine how fast and efficiently you can mine gold. Create upgraded versions of your equipment and enhance them using rare materials and gemstones. Possible upgrades include: increased tool durability, faster resource extraction, ability to break harder rock, additional equipment upgrades.
  • Alaska, 1896 – A Rich Storyline – Thousands of people arrive in northern America in search of fortune. Most will return empty-handed. Only a few will make history. Maybe you will be one of them. In Alaska Gold Fever you start as an ordinary gold prospector with simple tools and a big dream. Explore the wild lands of Alaska, mine gold, hunt, develop your businesses, and build an empire at the edge of 19th-century civilization. In the game you can expect many interesting and engaging storylines as well as unusual characters, such as the Pastor. A large number of fascinating stories and quests await you. The game offers: a main storyline, side quests, hidden treasures, mysterious locations.
  • Crafting and Survival – Life in Alaska requires strategy and proper preparation. Gather resources and craft useful items in different workshops such as: tool workshop, carpentry workshop, fur workshop, campfire and kitchen. Preparing meals and resting provides bonuses that increase work efficiency, cold resistance, and character stamina.
  • Hunt Wild Animals – The wild nature of Alaska is both a threat and a valuable source of resources. By hunting animals you can obtain: meat, hides, furs, hunting trophies. The quality of the materials you obtain depends on the weapon used and your hunting skills.
  • Fight Extreme Cold – The deeper you venture into the Alaskan wilderness, the lower the temperature becomes. To survive in the extreme climate you must: wear warmer clothing, prepare proper meals, manage your energy and stamina. Lack of preparation can quickly end your expedition.
  • Build Your Own Businesses – Gold mining is only the beginning. You can develop different ventures and build your own economic empire: new mines, farms producing food and milk, a hotel for travelers and gold prospectors. Hire workers, manage production, and expand your enterprises.
  • Automate Your Mines – The largest mines can be transformed into real enterprises. Hire miners who will work for you and generate a steady income. This allows you to focus on exploration, business development, and discovering new lands.

The First Cohort of prospectors has been granted initial mining licenses for over 64 square kilometers of hand-crafted terrain full of hidden corners and resources to mine and diverse biomes to explore. Use the resources around you to survive – every single tree is harvestable, every rock can be voxel mined.

CRAFT AND PROGRESS
Master three separate tech trees: planetary tech, player talents and orbital workshop.

Use the planet’s resources to craft tools, structures and machinery to protect yourself and aid your mission. Develop unique skills and improve core talents as you gain experience on the planet’s surface. Then return to orbit with rare exotic materials that you can engineer into advanced tech. Choose which skills to develop and which tech to take on your next drop so you can complete missions faster, travel further, automate production or improve your odds of survival. Every decision matters.

ESCAPE IN TIME
Your time on Icarus is limited, so always watch the clock and use every second wisely.

The orbital space station waits for no one. If you fail to return to your dropship in time, there is no rescue. Your character’s progress and tech is lost to planet Icarus. Choose between sessions that can last from hours to days to weeks. Or play on the side of caution and build a permanent outpost. Every drop has a clear goal, but how you overcome its challenges… is up to you.

Your Outpost is a permanent map with no time limit and limited dangers, ideal for building.

Situated on Icarus’s equator is a thin line of prospects, synchronized with the orbit of the Orbital Stations. Known as Outposts, these prospects can be dropped into and exited at any time, making them perfect for starting a settlement, hanging out with other prospectors or testing your architectural skills. Each prospector is assigned one Outpost with the core game.

Game Description
It’s the Stone Age. Humans are not yet apex predators. We are, in fact, quite far down the list. You are a tribe leader. Your job is to take your people from desperate Paleolithic hunter-gatherers to the first permanent settlements of the Neolithic age, laying the foundations for all of human civilization. No pressure.

Along the way, you’ll craft the earliest tools in human history, research technologies that separated us from every other species on Earth, build villages, manage a tribe, and navigate a world that is genuinely trying to eat you.

A Low-Poly World of Opportunity
The Polylithic world is vibrant, colorful, and almost entirely indifferent to your survival. Forage for resources across tall forests, snow-dusted hills, and rapids that do not care about your life. Hunt everything from rabbits to mammoths, each one a unique challenge, and each one a reminder that this is, technically, their world too. Seek out other human tribes, or what’s left of them, learn from their mistakes, and then don’t do that.

Prehistoric Survival
Gather, craft, hunt, cook, and occasionally yell at wildlife; survival in the Stone Age is a full-time occupation. Master an evolving tech tree, experiment with a cooking system that generates recipes with predictably unpredictable results, and keep your body fed, rested, and functional. You can also tame a dog. Or a hyena. Both are loyal. One is slightly more alarming. Either way, companions eat, heal, follow commands, and will absolutely judge your decision-making

Lay the Foundations of Civilization
Survival alone is one option. The other, the one that actually worked, is forming a tribe. As village leader, you’ll manage your tribespeople’s needs, grow your settlement, and guide them toward the Neolithic Revolution. They’ll work, become Elders, and slowly, improbably, build something that resembles a civilization.

Not everyone will welcome your progress. Enemy tribes have their own ideas about how prehistory should go. Sandbox Mode offers an infinitely generated world for those who prefer to skip the story and cause problems at their own pace. Customize your character (it’s the Stone Age, somehow), emote around the campfire, and do your best to make prehistory turn into history.
